Teachers & Students are not able to see assignments

Hi,

Students and Teachers receive this error - Sorry, but you don't currently have permissions to do that (View Assignment) - when trying to open an assigment, only Administrator can access this page. In addition, mod/assignment is not available under the Teacher roles to be manually configured.

I'm using Moodle 1.9.5 + (Build: 20090617).

I am having the same problem. I have tried several different settings but nothing changes. Have you had any luck yet?

Have you checked the role permissions for the student and teacher role?

Or maybe groupings in your course are causing the problems?

Hi Haidee,

If you check the teacher role page you can't see any entry related to assignments (mod/assignment).

In addition I'm not using grouping.

It seems this is a 1.9.5+ bug. It worked verry well with 1.9.5.

Check the pictures below to know what I meant by mod/assignment. The second one shows the Assignment module on 1.9.5 that is missed in 1.9.5+.

I didn't find a fix I just used 1.9.5 it's more stable.

I did the same thing, it also fixed another assignment issue.

IS that kind of weird that it's been a week and there is no fix? That is major! Or are the latest version, +s usually not meant for production sites?

I am using Moodle 1.9.5+ with a later build -- 20090708 and the assignment roles are there:

Roles for Teacher

Evidently your Moodle system is using the weekly build from June of this year and probably this bug was squashed in a later build -- have you checked the recent changes log ?

Moodle 1.9.6+ is the latest release and it's usually best to go with the most up to date release because it often address security issues.

I downloaded 1.9.6+ (Build 20091021), same result sad
