I have a certificate activity dependent upon a quiz. Everything works perfectly except that notification emails are not sent.

Email Teachers is set to Yes
Email others contains a valid email address
The teacher account email is enabled
Spam filter has been checked for both accounts
Moodle 1.9.5+ (Build: 20090808)
Certificate 2008080904
Have checked forums and tracker.

Not sure what I've missed or where to look next. sad

With further investigation I discovered that no emails at all were being sent from the site.

This was because I'd added $CFG->noemailever = true; to config.php whilst the site was in development.
