Can I export Forum contents and restore them on another server much the same way I can do for a course? Maybe the process of "moving/copying" a course already does this?
If so, what if a "toplevel" Forum (which is my one in question) is not already associated with a course like mine seems to be? Maybe it's implicitly associated to some "toplevel" course that I don't see?

ps: My search for "export forum" (in quotes) resulted in no matches from the google search at Using Moodle. Hence my post. My apologies for a FAQ.
Hmmm...it seems that the "toplevel" seems to be its own course listed in the "backup" page:
http://mymoodle.site.org/backup/backup.php?id=1
...for which the backup page (at least in my 1.3.4 server) covers forum data.
