intermittent html problems on new install-time out prob?

I have a clean, new install of the latest version of Moodle.  Intermittently, the WYSIWYG Toolbar fails to appear as if it is timing out.  The HTML block will not save information as it also appears to be timing out.

I have quick servers that handles huge Drupal sites with massive databases without a problem so I'm fairly certain that I don't have a server problem. 

Does anyone else have the html timeout problem?  Any ideas on how to work around it or fix it?

Still doens't work in Firefox but now works in IE7.  I don't know how this is related, but here's what I did--

In config.php, I changed from novelinstrctions.com to www.novelinstrutctions.com.  That seemed to make the difference.

I turned off Ajax in my profile and the problem seems to be fixed.
