STACK and the Maxima plot() command

STACK and the Maxima plot() command

Hi all,

I'm trying to incorporate plots into my STACK questions using the plot() command, but I can't get it to work sad. I include the command in the question stem text (with and without being surrounded by @'s) but when I 'try' the question it simply writes out the text as I typed it in. There's no attempt to plot anything.

I've also imported the sample question text_4.xml, and that doesn't work either (still the same symptoms).

Has anyone else managed to get this to work?

Thanks in advance,

Ian.

Ian,

If you go to the testsuite->healthcheck page there are some sample plots to confirm your configuration is set up correctly.

Plots are the most difficult thing to track down. We have posted some information about plots online at

http://matsrv3.bham.ac.uk/wiki/index.php/Dynamically_generated_plots

Please let me know how you get on.

Chris

Ran the test suite and found that I hadn't set the permissions correctly on the temporary directory.

Thanks for that.

BTW: the test suite is a great tool.
