i have a strange situation where the mean grade in the course total column does not appear to calculate the total accurately. the grade items all are of a user defined type where the possible values are 0,1,3,5.
some examples of the inaccuracy.
avg(1,0) = 0.83
avg(1,3) = 2.5
avg(3,3) = 3.33
