I understand the necessity for having a certificate that is re-issuable. This is a wonderful idea, however, my question is, how effective is it that a user can enter a course and simply click to receive the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th certificate without having done the work a 2nd, 3rd or 4th time. It would essentially need to reset the course, but keep student data from past, thus allowing students to re-take the course and receive a certificate again with a different date or code.
One might argue that you would simply create a second course, but this is not feasible when students are accessing the course at different times. I guess I'm asking what is the purpose of the re-issue setting, if it simply allows you to receive a certificate for work long ago when you really need to receive a certificate for the work done a 2nd time?
