How to change the months names? Please help

Hello
I don't know how to change the defualt months names to another name, For example how can I change "Jun" to "June" or to "Month no. 6" Or anything else?

Date formatting is the one place where Moodle relies on the operating system locales, rather than its own translation settings. However, the format strings it uses to tell the operating system what to do are in the langconfig file.

If changing format is not enough, you need to hack Moodle code. Cf. http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=120313#p527611

try function userdate() in lib/moodlelib.php
