math beautifully, but I've come across my first problem.

When some inline TeX has to be rendered (i.e., something like $...$) and also happens to be

right after a line break, its position is misplaced to the top of the div overlapping what's

already there. Specifically, inside a textarea field in a database entry I have:

< div class="defaulttemplate" style="font: 12pt/1.5em Georgia; width: 600px; text-align: left; margin: 0 auto;" >

Let $S$ be a set consisting of $m$ pairs $(a,b)$ of positive integers with the property that

$1 \leq a < b \leq n$. Show that there are at least

\ [4m \cdot \frac{(m - \frac{n^2}{4})}{3n}\ ]

triples $(a,b,c)$ such that $(a,b)$, $(a,c)$, and $(b,c)$ belong to S.

</div>

(the div's are part of the 'single template' and not actually in the textarea field) and it looks like the attached pic below.

I've come across this problem every time TeX has to be rendered at the point after a line break.

In the example above, changing the width of the div to, say, 550px, avoids the problem in this

particular example since $1 \leq a < b \leq n$ is not rendered at the point of a line break, but

that really doesn't fix the general problem.

Does anyone know a fix for this?

Thanks,

Tom
