E-mail Notification Issue

Hello.

I am running moodle for my martial arts class. I have it set up so that each test that my students do in front of me is an assignment, and each skill to be graded is an outcome with a letter grading scale.

When I grade this, I check the "send notifications" box, but no e-mails are being received. Is there anyone that could help me?

Could be a cron issue? or could be part of the known bug?

After ruling out any bug/cron issues, it would also be a good idea to check your SMTP settings are right. Go to your site home page and locate the Site Administration block. Click on Server > Email to see your current setting.
