Forgive me if you have already answered the following:

I want to build the folloing question:

Which of the following is true?

  • a
  • b
  • c
  • d
if a and c is true how can I prevent somoene to chose all the answers and get all the grade of the questions (50% for the right answers and no negative for the wrong)?

Even if I apply a -50% to the wrong answers I will get 0 grade if the student chooses all the answers but if the student chooses:

1 right and 1 wrong: grade=0
2 wrong: grade=-1 (now that I checked Moodle gives you a 0 and not a -1)

So my main problem is if the student checks 3 or 4 (all) answers.

How can I work around this problem?

a. (50%)
b. (50%
c. (-50%)
d. (-50%)

a, b is right

c, d is wrong

With -100% given to c, d I achieve to give a 0 grade if all selected.

But in case that the student chooses a, c he gets a 0 grade and it doesn't
seem fair or that is suits an educational purpose.

What I want is if the user chooses a, b to get 100% if he chooses a, c to get 50%, if he chooses c,d to get 0 and eventually if he chooses all to get 0.

Can i do that with the multiple answers question?
