HI, We are considering using offline Moodle (Poodle) pre-loading flash drives with our courses, many of which use additional files, mostly PDFs and PPT files. The primary reason behind this is lack of connectivity of our students combined with high shipping costs for sending CDs.
What we are looking for is a way to "secure" either the files themselves or the file structure, from direct access by the students. I know that any attempt at security can be thwarted by those with the knowledge and desire, but we are looking for a method that would stop the majority of people.
Ideally, when a student enrolls in a new course, we could provide a key that would unlock the new course and allow the students access to the materials through the Moodle interface.
Does anyone know if this is possible, if anyone is working on something like this of if anyone wants to work on this?
Thanks,
Henry
