At the moment, some Moodle sites have favicons. That includes all the important ones like moodle.org, docs.moodle.org, download.moodle.org, planet.moodle.org demo.moodle.org and dev.moodle.org. Meanwhile tracker.moodle.org has a different icon, and some more obscure ones don't have one at all, including cvs.moodle.org, http://phpdocs.moodle.org/, http://xref.moodle.org/nav.html?index.html.

I actually find it really helpful that the tracker has a different icon. When I am working on Moodle I often have a lot of Moodle-related tabs open in my browser, and it is helpful to at least have some help recognising the tracker ones. I would acutally like to have more different icons - but obviously still all basically the Moodle M.

So, I was wondering whether anyone here would like to have a go at drawing a set of favicons for our different sites, all based on the plain M icon for moodle.org. My suggestion (which you are free to ignore - you are the graphiic designers after all) would be
  • Plain M, no change, for moodle.org, download.moodle.org, planet.moodle.org
  • M, with a little book in the bottom right corner, for docs.moodle.org
  • M, with a little bug in the bottom right corner, for tracker.moodle.org
  • M, with a little gear in the bottom righ corner, for cvs.moodle.org, xref.moodle.org and phpdocs.moodle org (geeky stuff for developers).
  • I don't have a good idea for demo.moodle.org.
  • Also not sure of the best choice for dev.moodle.org, but could just be the plain M.
(can anyone spot any ???.moodle.org sites I have missed?)

If someone comes up with a good set, I'll nag Martin and or Jordan to use them wink
