Is there a way to allow anonymous access to the Quiz module, to take quizzes?

I've been trying to set up an online version of a Classroom Assessment Technique: a preconception/misconception check. This seems to work pretty well in the quiz format, but the idea of a CAT is that it is non-scored and anonymous, a way for an instructor to gauge the effectiveness of his/her teaching.

I did try just making a tester account, which worked ok, but when two students logged in as 'tester' tried taking the quiz at the same time, one of their scores was not recorded?

Is there any easy way to allow guests to take quizes or some other way to enable an anonymous CAT?

Thanks!

Dr Penney,

This is a very good idea. I guess that all polls are not anonymous?

Anonyminity would be important for inter user rating here in Japan.
There is such a taboo on down-rating people there are not even any
words for insulting people. Or about three.

But for a the teacher assessment you might consider creating a

usurename: "revenge"
password: "feedback"

or whatever, which you could inform students of inside the course.
They could then log in as that person and grade the teacher. But
I guess that would mean that it would be impossible for the same
person to long in twice? Hence it would be impossible to have two
students rate the teacher at the same time. Perhaps. I am not sure.
I think that the login mechanism partly uses cookies. It may be the
case that it is possible to loging seperately using two seperate computers
as long as the cookies are different. As soon as you log out on a
computer I guess that a cookie is saved on that computer saying
you are logged out.
