Hi,

How to display a latest forum message in a block? Something like the latest news block but for any forum activity.

It sounds like you're looking for the Recent Activity block. It displays links to all forum activity going as far back as your last login. To display it, turn editing on and select Recent Activity from the drop down list. More info here: http://docs.moodle.org/en/Recent_Activity_block.

Yes, it is something like this, but permanently. Recent Activity show the last activity since my last login.
