I went with the weekly release and it is working well. Did have a few times where the system locked up with nothing in the error logs. My box has 1.5gb ram so I focued on tuning. I think turning off innodb. just add skip-innodb in my.cf dropped the ram usage a lot. Will have to let it run a few weeks before I can say the tuning fixed it.
