Yes there is a solution to the glossary linking to quiz problem, thanks to Paul Evans.

I have not implemented it for various reasons, particularly because my glossary was too big and it was slowing things down too much, it seemed. But I do intend to have another go. I think that I would be happy to link the glossary only to resources.
But, bear in mind that the glossary does not seem to be all that language teacher friendly beause it is rather slow with large (dictionary-like) glossaries, I believe.
