Dear moodle-users,
due to the securityalert MDL-18552 I updated the hole tex-filter-directory. I checked out all files from the latest weekly version 1.8 (my current version is 1.8.7) to my local computer and then via ftp to the server.
Now there is a very peculiar effect: the cvs listing is shown in my site and the tex-filter doesn't work. If I reload the page the listing will disappear. A second reload will show the listing and so on.
I'm not very experienced with the cvs-system. Normally I just upgrade the hole site.
What has gone wrong??
I have disabled the filter but I need it for my physics-material!
Thanks for answering.

It looks like your files in folder filter/tex are trying to read content from moodle.org (cvs.moodle.org) - did you download the package from http://download.moodle.org/ and have you usually upgraded with packages or cvs?

Well, I've taken a look into the downloaded files. I thought, that these files are the original tex-files. I now understand, that these files contain only cvs-lists.
(I download from http://cvs.moodle.org/moodle/filter/tex/?pathrev=MOODLE_18_WEEKLY)
Where can I download the updated tex filter without security risk?
Thanks.

If you are using ftp, all weekly (+) packages in http://download.moodle.org/ should have the latest code - download and unzip for example Moodle 1.9.4+ or Moodle 1.8.8+ package ... and move folder filter/tex to your server with your ftp. Or you could as well upgrade the whole site to the latest code...

Thanks a lot.
I planned to upgrade my moodle for some time. But time is spare!
I think it is necessary to introduce the ability to upgrade via cvs. I have to speak to my provider!
bye
