Backup and restore

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, none of the suggestions on the thread helped, but we observed that when we turn-on 'session.auto_start = 1', we can login but can get through to site resources e.g admin section. When we try to go to the admin section here is the message we get: "The PHP server variable 'session.auto_start' should be Off - please read the install documentation."
