I am using moodle 1.9. What I am trying to do is put my entire curriculum into one course. My problem, is that I would like certain students to be able to see certain topics, and change that as they progress... For example, I would like students 1 and 2 to only be able to see topics 1-5, while students 3 and 4 can see topics 1-8...
Is this possible?

The short answer is yes it is possible - they might see the topic number but not the actual content of the topic - to do it you need to investigate groups and groupings which is a feature of 1.9 and get your students into groupings and associate their activities in the relevant topics with the appropriate grouping.Do a search in the docs for groupings.
