I have looked in several of the "Edit words or phrases" files and could not find it.
Any ideas where this lives?
Isn't there some 3rd party app that will allow users to choose elements on a webpage and edit them, or at least see where they are called from by just mousing over things on a webpage?
Changing simple things like this one word shouldn't be so complex.
how do I edit "moodle.php"?
Esquire Legal -I understand the sort of thing you mean but I personally don't think the current way is that difficult. To me it is a real boon to be able to alter words within Moodle -before I knew this facility existed I was searching forever for the files on the server to edit them that way - this way, in a minute or two, you get what you want.
thanks! this is great. you've opened up a whole new world for me!
maybe you're the one to ask this question: when someone clicks "login" up in the right hand corner, you get a page that has two sides: left side with login boxes and options to log in as guest; right side says "is this your first time here?" and has the steps to create a "new account." since we are not letting in guests OR letting people set up new accounts, how can I edit the content on this whole page?
Are you sure you saved the changes?
Hi, I am having the same problem. I am sure I did the right thing in changing and saving the text from 'Available Courses' to 'List of Courses' (example) in moodle.php under Edit Words of Phrases. I logged-in as the Admin account and I have conducted several work-around but still unluckily couldn't get it. It seems that after clicking the 'Save Changes: Moodle.php', and then looking back at it again, the changes didn't apply at all. Please help. Thank you.
Could you tell where I would what 'upcoming events' for the calendar would come under?
