Can anyone help me to delete the block with no name.
The course is at http://www.baker-evans.com/community/course/view.php?id=6 if you want to see the unkillable block
Excellent. I can use your suggestions to generate the URL to config the block e.g.
and the configuration block comes up and I can enter a title... but when I save the changes, the old block is shown.
If I change the blockaction to DELETE, or MOVELEFT or MOVERIGHT or TOGGLE nothing happens.
It is as if the block has somehow gotten locked.
I would happily export the course and start again but the URL for the course has been published and it is receiving a steady stream of visitors
I would rather not have to edit the database but if that is my only option I will.
I have just looked at
Administration > Modules > Blocks > Sticky blocks
and this is not a sticky block ... but it is STUCK and I still can't get rid of it.
Are there any other things i can try to delete this block (see below) before I venture into the database.
I copy-pasted the ClustrMaps code into an HTML block on my moodle 1.9.4 test site and it is behaving normally (with or without a title).
As I was trying to find a way to remove a block from the moodle database I stumbled upon an intriguing problem. In one of my moodle courses I create a new HTML block with title: "pussycat" and content: "the cat sat on a mat".
When I try to locate those title and content strings on my moodle installation, I cannot locate the "pussycat" anywhere in the database, and the "the cat sat on a mat" string is only located in table mdl_cache_text. This looks quite impossible. Let's hope some moodle guru can come up with an explanation... Where are the HTML block data stored?
