I have a question about linking directly to a secure site from a logged in user in moodle. We have been offered access to some great learning engineering resources which will indefinitely benefit our learners. This is on the conidtion that our Moodle users have exclusive access to the secure site.
The webmaster of the resource site has given me the following instructions:
"You will need to somehow generate a dynamic rolling key and use that to link to us from your site. I have included a sample code in PHP below.
$nYear = Year(date("n/j/Y g:i:s A")())-2000;
$nMonth = Month(date("n/j/Y g:i:s A")());
$nDay = Day(date("n/j/Y g:i:s A")());
$nHour = Hour(date("n/j/Y g:i:s A")());
$nSecond = Second(date("n/j/Y g:i:s A")());
$neFundaTmp1 = (100-$nSecond)^2;
$neFundaTmp2 = ($nYear*17784+$nMonth*936+$nDay*24+$nHour)*floor(1+$nSecond/20);
$seFundaKey = StrReverse($neFundaTmp1).StrReverse($neFundaTmp2);
$ccFundLinker = "http://www.efunda.com/home.cfm?lc=AVT&rk="&seFundaKey
Use the variable "ccFundLinker" as your link to our site. Let me know when you get this implemented and I'll set it up on our end to recognize the Key from your secured site."
Where can i incorporate this code in our current moodle install (1.8.8) providing access for our students?
