Hi!
I use Moodle 1.9.4. When I look at some users´profiles in the administration, the "roles" tab never contains any roles no matter wether they are admins or students. how may I know what a user is when loking at his profile?

thanks,
christophe

Yes, it is confusing. The roles tab in the profile if for assigning another user a role relative to this user. The canonical example is making one user a parent or mentor of another, so they can see that user's profile and course work.

In Moodle 2.0, this has been changed to be more intuitive Development:Roles_administration_improvements_for_Moodle_2.0#User.27s_roles_report.

Thanks Tim! You´re right, roles-administrtation seems to be in Moodle 2.0 a bit more intuitiv.
