True, but I believe it's possible to have certain level of docs, I'll think about it.

The Moodle config is RHEL 5.3 VMware VMs with Oracle 11g backend behind a Cisco ACE load balancer, authenticating from a Sun ONE Directory Server. The issue is not one with LDAP auth per-se I believe, because it happens regardless of whether the admin user is an LDAP one or not.
The work around I had was to put the virtual host entry of the moodle server in hosts as the local IP address. My understanding is that moodle returns everything as absolute URLs, so that probably makes sense. All our other websites behind our load balancer give relative URLs I believe, and we have never had this issue before.
Please let me know if I haven't explained something enough, or if I'm not making sense here.
