Since this topic seems to come up with regularity, I thought I'd submit this thread.
Do any of you have anything to share about an experience with a low cost Fantastico ISPs with Moodle?
Thanks
Thom
Hi, Thomas. I've been happy with Hosting Matters. I run a Moodle server and several other sites from one of their B1000 accounts ($11/month).
Their uptime and support has been great.
They have Fantastico, but I can't really speak to that; I installed my Moodle server "the hard way".
Edit: that's $11 US.

I have been running moodle on powweb.com for 7.77/month, 93/year, this includes one database, 3 users, 1000 megs of HD memory, user config console, pop/smap, web stats and a lot more. It runs Apache 1.8 I think and also supports CGI, Perl, Front Page Extensions and some other things as well. However, there are other moodle users on powweb so you need to give your database a different name.
