Randomly the html editor does not appear.  It loads the source but the buttons do not appear.  If I clear IE7 cache then it comes back.

Can reinstall the html editor?

Thanxs

Larry - I read your other posts and checked your host from whois.is

Looks like Godaddy issue. Read for example

Hi Mauno,

Thanks, for the help.  So, do think the solution is use Bluehost? What is really strange I put a temp site on GD for 2 months with their Moodle setup and it is working.  Thus I then  for the bigtime.

The error I get in Htmlarea.php on line 218.  It seems like a cache problem.

What do think I should do?

I have done a work around on the htmlarea.php (6 modifications) file and the editor is working great.  FireFox had real problems the editor.  This was a desperation move I expected Moodle to start smoking after the fix.

This is a fix for Moodle 1.9.4 on Godaddy.

I was 5 minutes from moving to Bluehost.

If anyone is interested I will provide the fix for small fee.smile

Hi,

I am having problems with my html editor not showing. I also am no longer able to edit the blocks on the home page or access the some files from front page. I have been banging my head against a brink wall looking for solutions. I have never had an issue like this before and everything was working fine 2 months ago. I can think what changed. I have moodle 1.9 installed and want to do a clean install of moodle 2.5 and import the courses. I can handle that but as I have a course starting on the 8th of April it is really bad that I can't change the blocks and the html editor is not appearing. You sound like the person who would be able to help me? what do you think?

Actually I just managed to make the html edotor appear again. I went into my user profile, edit profile and changed the setting of When editing text to "use html editor (some browsers only) and I also changed the setting below to 'no use basic web features' and now I can see the html editor. I am still having the issue with not being able to edit the blocks on the front page.
