Hide/show global glossary autolinks at course level?

Just to extend the discussion on autolinking:

To support our tutors in transition to Moodle we have created a 'knowledge hub' which includes definitions and instructional material in the areas of pedagogy, technology and Moodle terminology, together with guidelines and instructional materials, in the form of a glossary.

In order for tutors to be able to access the glossary anywhere they are working in Moodle, we have defined the Glossary as 'global'.

However, despite changing the role permissions for both authenticated users and students, the glossary links and glossary still seem to show up for students when they encounter a term (eg your 'goals') on the course page.

Anybody got any ideas on how to keep a global glossary accessible to teachers, but turn it off for students ?

Thanks

Paul
