Wiki-like versioning and more depth in Course Activity Report Logs (was Wanted: New feature ideas for GSOC projects)

Currently, when viewing Report logs for a course, the logs will show each time a web page resource was updated, for example, but when one clicks on the link, it simply shows the page as it currently looks.

Something that would be very handy would be if the activity reports in Moodle handled wiki-like versioning - so that when a web page resource is updated, if you clicked on that 'update' link in the activity reports log, it would pop out with a page showing what exactly was changed in that update, (deletions in red, additions in green, etc..., like viewing different version of a wiki page). In this way, one could track what exactly was changed at that time in the logs.

Additionally, the logs do not display everything users have done in the files area, gradebook, administration block, etc. and from a troubleshooting/administrative standpoint, I could use that information when assisting faculty members. I'd like to see with each click a log entry.

Finally, the logs do nothing when using the "login as" feature. Would be nice to show "logged in as..." in the activity report logs as well.

GSOC?
