This should do x^2.

If you are talking about tokens, you use the double @ sign, as in @@x^2@@

I see filter is working here, but when I it on my site "@@x^2@@ does not produce what I want. I have both the Algebra and Tex filters enabled.

I figured it out. I didn't really have the Algebra filter enabled.
