OK. smile  Now that I know how to remove this topic section, I would like to know how to change the background color of this section which defaults to white.

topic section

It seems as though it is associated with the "site topic" string(?).  But where would I find it.?

It is not in the styles.php or config.php files in "themes".  It is also not configurable from admin settings on the site.

It is in the styles.php file (.sitetopiccontent). big grin

Since you're using a custom theme, when upgrading, you should copy all new css entries from the standard theme's styles.php file to the one in your theme.

Aha! big grin.  Thank you!

I feel really silly.  How else would the original styles.php file configure the page properly  if there was no css entry for it?  OK, I learned something very useful today.
