In Moodle 1.9.2, when we define roles, there is an option "Not Set". If this is selected, it means that this capability has not been defined for this user. But there is a confusion, is this is not defined for the user, then what the user can do for this kind of capability. "Not Set" option means that the capability is not defined but does it mean that this user does not have this capability???
My second question:
I have 2 roles in my application. One is Functional Admin and the other is Learning Designer.
User1 - assigned Functional Admin role at site level and Learning Designer role at course level. So the capabilities are overridden
Functional Admin role - has "Manage Activities" option is defined as "Not Set"
Learning Designer role - has "Manage Activities" option defined as "Allow"
Since User1 has both the roles, she/he will be able to manage activities at the course level.
User2 - assigned Learning Designer role at course level
The ISSUE:
When the course is restored, the restored course does not include the user2 which has been assigned role at course level only. Please help how we can restore the role names at course level also.
