We recently upgraded to version 1.8.8. I found that there arose problems in opening files that are in directories and various other PDF files (not all). We are using multiple languages on our site English, Hebrew and Arabic. I was able to solve the problems of oening files that are in folders by converting the "+" that is inserted instead of spaces in the file back to spaces.
One problem I have not been able to solve is the problem of opening PDF files.
I get the following responses when using various browsers:
Safari and Firefox:
I am glad to report that it works.
Slimbrowser and Explorer 6:
A window opens which contains a box with no content, at the bottom of the page there is a direct link to the file which does open the file in a new window.
Explorer 7:
Similar to above, but there is a flash of a large PDF icon, an empty box and at the bottom a link to the file.
As most of our users use MSIE this is a real problem.
Any assistance would be appriciated.
