Roles and permissions

I have gotten LDAP authentication to work, as well as LDAP course creation.

LDAP enrollment works to a degree. It does add students and teachers to classes. However, their "role" is not marked as student or teacher. The more important problem is that when I log in as a user, they get un-enrolled from their course, and I have to rerun the enrol_sync...php script. What could cause this, and how can I fix this?
