We all know the potential problems of allowing individuals the privilege to post their opinions on forums. As a deterrent to harmful posts, does anyone know any scripts which could be embedded into the forum message that would show the user his IP address?
I know that the IPs are logged already, but perhaps showing the potential offender his IP would confirm this reality and provide a small deterrent And yes, I realize that there are ways to hide one's IP.
