Integration between the ILP and Attendance module

Hi Dmitry,

I am thinking about some kind of integration between the ILP and Attendance module.

The idea is to automatically add a 'Target' entry for a student who was absent. The 'Target' could be anything like having to hand in a sicknote from a doctor by a due date (within a week). We would use it for sicknotes and 'make up notes' which we require for students who missed teaching sessions.

Do you (or anybody else) think it's a good idea and how difficult would this be in your opinion.

Is there anyone else that could make use of such a system?

Thanks,

Barry

Sorry if it sounds naive: what is ILP?

The ILP Module (Individual Learning Plan) is a module developed by James Ballard for Moodle. It can be used to track various bits of info about each student e.g. targets, achievements, concerns etc.

I'm thinking of using it to easily track how long a student has taken to hand in a sick note after they were absent as well as tracking 'make up notes' we require for students who missed any teaching sessions.
