we have moodle 1.9.1 installed on a Windows server with Apache 2. Does add a resource, IMS content package work on this set up?
I can get it so that I can click the browse repository and see the list of items. If I try to preview it I get cannot find it. If I just go ahead and add it and then try to view it I get the requested url ... was not found on the server and the url isn't correct for where the repository is located and can't seem to make it locate it.
I have a 1.9.3 version set up did the same to that and this time I get the url looking in the right place but told I don't have permission to view that folder.
Clearly if I do the same to both and get two different results for where it thinks the repository is, there is something going on. This is what is making me wonder if it works at all on 1.9.1 Anybody know the definitive answer?
If I move to 1.9.3 it seems to be an apache security issue which I have no idea how to fix as it is a folder in a folder that already says we can all view it.
I've seen this http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=99290 posting that seems to have a similar security issue, but I'm not using Linux and am not in a position to get scripts written for security that sounds a tad overkill.
I'm going through this pain because I want to try MrCUTE and getting IMS content package to work seems to be a pre-requisite.
Thoughts and ideas (other than upgrading Moodle) much appreciated.
