Pasted in some javascript...now I can't edit the HTML box!

Hope someone can help me here.

Been using some software called BannerZest for making custom banners. Once created, I stuck it in the HTML box at the top of the main page of our Moodle site.

It works fine. That is until I want to go in and change the code. When I click on the edit icon, it takes me to the box but it shows nothing. When I click < > it just hangs and Firefox shows that the page is always loading.

Any ideas? As this is the main HTML block on the front page, there's also no way for me to delete it!

Thanks in advance smile

You could either turn editor off from your profile - click your name, Edit profile, When editing text ... Use standard web forms... - or you could test IE or some other browser. Usually Firefox can handle situations like this better but in this case HTMLArea breaks html and Firefox can crash...

Hi Mauno

Many thanks for this. Turning off editing in my Profile has sorted this out and I was able to change the code. However I see this as a temporary solution.

I do use Firefox as my browser and haven't tried any others.

Thanks again for your quick response!
