Collecting all forum posts onto a single page

Has there been much interest in having a way to show all the posts, in threaded form sorted by discussions, for a given forum? I was able to build a page in 1.6 that did this but now in 1.9 things are more complicated.

We have faculty that want to review all of the posts in a forum on a single page rather than clicking through into each discussion.

As an elementary teacher we are trying to do the same thing but would like to thread them by user in order to show student growth in using moodle. Have you found an answer?

Go to 'Participants' > Forum Posts

If you're looking for something else, drop me a note and I'll try to help.

I wound up hacking together (much how I did in v1.6!) a page that collects all the posts in a forum sorted by discussion. Not what you're looking for but I think Dan's reply gives a good option for you.

Hi Scott
Is it possible for you to share what you've done (perhaps an attached patch file) so others can use? We are also looking at this for some staff.
Cheers
Teresa
