Formatting Problems (newbie)

When I add a wiki, or when I try to edit a wiki I do not see the Standard Formatting style toolbar at the top of the body text. Is there a setting I missed?

I am using a standalone MAMP version to learn how to use Moodle (1.9.3) on a Mac with Safari

Hi there. Safari doesn't display the html editor if that is what you are talking about.Nor does Chrome. If you use Firefox it will be ok.
