What function will put grade items into a category?

Fairly ronseal really, I've got the records of an item and a category but can't work out how to move it in. I've tried just changing categoryid but this doesn't work, I'm obviously missing something.

I still can't work this out, I've found a grade_items_history table- is it not liking it because of an invalid history record or something?
