I have run into the documented error associated with php memory limitations.
There are three suggested solutions at http://moodle.org/mod/glossary/showentry.php?courseid=5&concept=Errors+about+%22allowed+memory+size%22+being+exhausted
- Change maximum php memory allocation and restart Apache (but I don't have enough administrative access to do this on a shared ensim server).
- Change site-level php memory (I have tried this by adding the suggested line to the .htaccess file in http://moodle.misswebster.com, but doesn't seem to change the memory assignment to php)
- Remove modules using Admin -> Configuration -> Modules (I would be happy to try this, but I can't run any moodle pages since the memory requirements for running it are too high - catch22)
Is there a way that I can manually get in there and remove modules to get over this initial hurdle (I have ssh access, and can edit config files if I know where to look, and which modules impose the heavy duty memory load)
Thanks for any suggestions.
