If you have access to your moodle database via phpmyadmin then you can go to the table 'user' and look at the first entry. You find the admin username in the 'username' field and the encrypted password in the 'password' field. You should then edit this entry and put in a new password. The important bit is to choose 'md5' from the 'function' drop down in front of the field where you type in your new password.
