I have just tried to do a backup and restore on my production site. I did this for the first time, I usually do my backups manually.
The backup did not work because my webhost has disabled the function exec() for security reasons. I know this probably means that I should find a different host, which I will do soon (our school will get its own webserver).
I know that you can override some values in php.ini through a .htaccess file. Is that also possible in the case of disabled functions? If so, how would I do this.
I would be very glad with any help.
