Hi

How do you backup your Moodle? I use a MYSQL Dump command and backup files every night.

How else should i backup? Should i also backup individual components such as a particular forum?

Your advice is appreciated, thanks

Oh, well that page should. I'll edit it in a second.

A Moodle system comprises three parts, the database, the files in the moodledata folder, and the files that comprise the code. Assuming you are using an unmodified version of the code, then a database dump and a copy of moodledata is all you need, however, for completeness, you should probably backup the code too.
