Inspiration always strikes early in the morning...
Setting this editing flag helps but doesn't solve the initial problem of getting content in. Copying from Word into the editor under IE I just get everything double spaced. I've seen posts about setting the paragraph style to no top/bottom margins but that's potentially a little dodgy?
- Send out Word doc with limited styles to authors
- Save as filtered HTML
- Open HTML file in IE
- Select text and copy and paste into Moodle HTML editor
This DOESN'T copy any style definitions across, but because you know what they are from the Word doc you can embed them in the Moodle theme stylesheet.
This gets the spacing right and is quick to do (rather than viewing HTML source and copying and pasting that)
