Hello,

           I downloaded and extracted the hotpot exercise module in to the directory apache1.3\Apache\htdocs\moodle\mod\hotpot.(I'm using moodle 1.3)

Also i followed the instruction given in Readme file in hotpot directory.

TO NEWLY INSTALL:

1. Copy the files to the corresponding locations in your own Moodle directory:

  hotpot.php -->  moodle/lang/en/
  hotpot (folder) --> moodle/mod/
 
2. Visit your course "admin" area.  You should see a report saying that (prefix)_hotpot and (prefix)_hotpot_events have been successfuly installed.

I got the message hot_events have been succesfully installed in my admin page.But still i'm getting a warning.Pls refer the screen shot for that.

Could you let know the reason why this occurs?

Check that the file hotpot.php file that you placed in lang/en/ has the appropriate permissions. Look at the properties of another file in the lang/en/ directory and then make sure that the permissions of the hotpot.php file are the same.

This is only a guess. Does anyone else have an idea?

Hello Robb,

Thanks so much for your reply.as u told i checked hotpot.php and changed appropriate permissions.But i got a different  error and rectified it.That is version mismatches.I have attached that for your reference(if u need)

Also i have changed the version is $module->version  = 2004081600; in version.php file.

Now I got the Hotpot  module!!!  smile
