Ok I have absolutly no Idea how to install GD could someone help?

If this is a Linux system it will almost certainly be available as a package - you just need to get to grips with your package manager and find it. If it's windows then the full version of php has it as an extension in the download.

If you have to install it (not at all likely). This is the website...

Andrew,
GD comes with most versions of PHP, so you don't have to install it separately. If your Moodle variables page says GD is not installed, it means you need to install a newer or more complete version of PHP on your server. For a Mac server, I suggest installing Marc Liyanage's build of PHP 4.3.6, available at http://www.entropy.ch/software/macosx/php/
