(No matter how long I work on a problem, I often don't figure out the answer until about 10 minutes after posting to these fora. Let's see if that little spell works today.)
I have a teacher with three identical (except for the students) Moodle courses. In one of the courses the Grade category aggregations are not displayed to the students. In the student view User Report, the rows are there, but the contents is a dash ("-"). In the teacher's Grader Report view, the numbers are there but greyed out.
I've compared every GradeBook setting I can find and they're identical between the courses.
What setting is causing the category aggregations to not display to the students?

(It took a little longer than 10 minutes this time, but the spell worked.)
While the category aggregation columns as a whole weren't hidden, the individual entries for each student in those columns were (closed eye / open eye icon). The teacher had also hidden the show/hide icons so the setting wasn't obvious.
This problem solved through the use of Moodle Forum Magic.
