Thanks for your reply (sorry if you got a blank email from me - clicked the wrong button!) I think I was expecting a lesson to fulfill all my course needs but obviously it doesn't (yet). So, I have decided not to use the lesson format at all now and will use a combination of web pages and quizzes. I'm also looking into Hot Potato quizzes which look very interesting and can easily (it seems) be used in Moodle. I'm also developing self contained mini websites that can be part of a web page with (hopefully) a Hot pot(s) below it. See how this goes. Anyway, thanks again - very interesting.
